Proposal period opens.
August 30
Proposal period closes.
September-October
Selection committee selects top 10 ideas.
October 3
University of Utah announces the top 10 ideas that will move on to Round 2.
October-November
Round 2 awardees will receive $10,000 and will further develop and refine ideas.
November 19 Round 2 participants present ideas to Community Advisory Board
November 29
University of Utah will announce the top three ideas advancing to the national level.
November-January 2019
Top three idea proposals further develop and refine their ideas.
January 2019
University of Utah will forward the top three ideas to Schmidt Futures for national-level review.
January 2019
Schmidt Futures will announce the national-level finalists.
February-June 2019
National-level finalists will further develop and refine their ideas.
June 2019
National-level finalists will submit their ideas for additional review.
July 2019
Schmidt Futures will announce ideas it has selected to fund up to $1 million.
